Launch of…Sarah Dessen Celebration

sddcelebration

I have been quietly and secretly planning a major event for The Sarah Dessen Diarist for the past six weeks. The aim of this celebration is for this blog to have a post each day for the month leading up to Sarah Dessen’s birthday.  It will also act as a means to shine light on the release of Along for the Ride which is released June 16th. With the help of many YA authors (established, debut and awaiting release) from across the globe and YA bloggers we have a huge range of guest blogs about Sarah Dessen, her books and her characters for you to read daily.

It also serves a duel purpose – The Sarah Dessen Diarist blog has been up and running since July 1st, 2008.  The one year anniversary fell in the approximate area (kinda).  One year in I have had 45, 000 visitors drop by, which approximately 300-400  per day as of the past few months.  There is a accompanying podcast that is taking a break for now but is also available on iTunes.

It’s been a wonderful year and I am excited to celebrate this blog, Sarah’s birthday and the release of Along for the Ride with you all!  Thank you to all contributors.  If you would like to send best wishes or congratulations to Sarah, please email me at sddiarist AT gmail DOT com.  I plan on post them all as the final post of this celebration!

Prepare for launch in 2 hours!
