Probably one of the hardest to cast as you want someone who looks seventeen. My immediate thoughts were Kristin Stewart and Evan Rachel Wood – predictable I know but these girls can freaking act. Then I thought it might be better to cast for a lesser known actress and I thought of Scout Taylor-Compton. She’s done heaps of tv and recently the reimagination of Halloween.
Thoughts?
I like. A lot. She’s got that tough look to her, to give off what she’s been through with her mother… but she’s soft around the edges. Love it.

Yup, I like this one. She’s a pretty good Ruby. She has the Chocolate Chip Cookie look to her. That’s my way of saying that she’s tough on the outside but soft on the inside.
